ABOUT ME My name is Steve Snodgrass. I'm a full-time professional drum/percussion
instructor based in west suburban Chicago. I offer individualized private lessons
for beginning through advanced students age 9 through adult, as well as drum tuning, repair, and refurbishing services.
Private lessons are offered as "housecalls" (in your own home) in Hinsdale, Naperville,
and surrounding areas, or in my Naperville studio. Click on the SERVICES button at the top of the page for more

CREDENTIALS * Phi Beta Kappa graduate, Grinnell College, BA in music 1984.
* Over 20 years
private teaching experience, with hundreds of students of all ages and experience. * Management and instrument sales and repair experience at two of the
nation's largest percussion retailers. *
Contributing writer for Modern Drummer and Drum Business magazines. * Performed with The Jim Guter Big
Band, trumpeters Doug Scharf and Rob Parton, pianists John Jensen and Gail Sonkin, vocalist Bob Duda, The Michael James Orchestra,
steel band OD TAPO IMI, the Warrenville Moonlighters Big Band, and many others.
